Short Exotic Stories
The group of the story world called short story or short fiction is greatly exceeding in its content and there are various reasons for the same. Some of them are as follows-
- Short stories are relatively easy to write. More than that they are also easy to make up. If you have to write a novel you will need to plan an intense plot and that is not everyone’s cup of tea. Of course it is not in everyone’s capacities to write a short story also but then to compare them with other diverse modes of expression as in the epic or the novella, it is definitely the easiest one to comprehend.
- Short stories are never longer than ten thousand words and therefore the reader will not get the idea of getting lost. In some novellas it so happens that the plot thickens rather suddenly and therefore the reader finds difficulty in getting to understand the proceedings of the story as it progresses. It even happens on a chance occasion that the writer in himself or herself manages to forget the part at which they had begun the story and there are whole sets of characters rolling in and out of the scenes. But that is rarely the case with published works of short fiction.
- A lot of people or the reading mass of the world have a preference for short stories. The reason for the same is based in the fact that a short sorry is never long enough to allow a writer the chance of making the plot complex and will not make him display too much of a variety for emotion or theme. In a novel there can be two or three sub plots, which can make things difficult to a spare time reader. They are hence preferable.
